106.3 Outage
By Ken Carr @ 3:14 PM :: 247 Views :: 2 Comments ::

We had a technical issue occur on our 106.3 fm frequency this past Thursday afternoon (1/21) that greatly reduced our signal.

It occured during the storm that came through southern Arizona late last week.

We were unable to get engineering crews to the transmitter site on Mount Lemmon until today due to the snow, ice, and wind on the mountain.

They discovered that the transmitting tower had been damaged.  More specifically, the unusually high winds caused the tower to fall.

We are working on a solution to get that frequency back on the air as soon as possible and appreciate your patience.  In the meantime, we are broadcasting normally on our second frequency at 104.9 fm.

Update:  The engineering crews were successfully able to get 106.3 back on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.  We are now broadcasting normally on both frequencies.
